Two students of Cotton University were arrested on Friday reportedly for physically assaulting a fellow student of Cotton University.
The students are from the prestigious MNDP (Mahendra Nath Deka Phukan) Hostel, located near RBI, Guwahati.
According to reports Gautam Borah, a BA Student and Rahul Medhi, an MSc. student were involved in the incident where they reportedly beat up a fellow student, took his ATM card and withdrew money.

A case was registered at Panbazar Police Station under case No. 589/17 U/S-147/342/323/294/116/334/435/506 IPC
According to reports, the duo has been sent to judicial Custody for 14 days.
It is also being reported that Rahul Medhi was one of the accused in the Cotton College and UBER vandalism incident.
