Two Arrested In Burglary Case In Guwahati’s Sawkuchi, Stolen Items Recovered

 

GUWAHATI: A police team under Basistha police station cracked a burglary case reported from Shiv Charan Boro Path, Sawkuchi, Guwahati on Thursday, April 10.

The burglary, which occurred in broad daylight, involved the theft of brass utensils from a locked house. Following the investigation, police arrested 19-year-old Firoz Ali alias Petla from Natboma, who confessed to committing the theft.

During the course of the investigation, police recovered several items used in the crime, including the bicycle used for transportation, a breaking tool, and the clothes worn by the accused during the burglary.

Based on Firoz Ali’s confession, a raid was carried out in Narbam, Lalmati, which led to the recovery of 10 brass dishes, 7 brass bowls, 4 brass horais, 1 brass diya, along with a brass glass and botas, a mobile phone, LCD television, and a distinctive yellow bag.


The receiver of the stolen property, identified as 35-year-old Julmat Ali, was also apprehended during the raid.

All stolen items have been seized and legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused individuals.
