Twitterati Complains of Quarantine Food Quality, HBS Replies with Evidence

GUWAHATI: There have been many allegations posted by people from quarantine centers regarding the facilities provided. 

These allegations have been posted across various social media and news media platforms as well and people had even tagged the health minister Himanat Biswa Sarma himself hoping for prompt response. 

A recent allegation was posted by one Lav Pradhan on 30th May, who tweeted, "Respected @himantabiswa not even a single staff is there to assist us here. Our body temperature has not been checked. No food no water has been provided since morning. This is the condition of Quarantine center at NHM, No.2 Singimari, Assam 781104."

Sarma, who is known for his prompt responses, took stock of the situation at the quarantine center and reverted to the distress tweet on 1st June stating, "I have been told that foods were served on time. Picture attached. However, I will come to hospital tomorrow myself to verify your allegations."

He even posted photos of the food provided that were sent to him by the concerned management.
