GUWAHATI: Assam Joint Forum of Motor Transport Workers has decided to observe 48-hour Chakka Bandh on January 8 and 9, 2019.
The Chakka Bandh is in support to the nationwide strike called by central trade unions and federations against Centre’s Anti-Public policy.
The protest will be against the amendment of the Motor Vehicle Act and privatisation of the transport sector.
As per the association, the Motor Vehicle Amendment (MVA) Bill-2017 is completely against the benefit of the transport labours and workers.
