TRAI Blocked Over 2.75 Lakh Numbers Over Spam Calls

 

GUWAHATI: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recently enforced strict measures, resulting in the blacklisting of over 50 entities.

Over the past two weeks, Access Providers have disconnected more than 2.75 lakh SIP DID/Mobile Numbers and other telecom resources under the Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulations, 2018 (TCCCPR-2018).

This action is part of TRAI's ongoing efforts to combat the rising issue of unsolicited commercial communication, ensuring a safer and more secure telecom environment for consumers.
