GUWAHATI: Guwahati witnessed traffic disruptions on Thursday evening as commuters struggled with severe congestion on Chhath Puja. Heavy traffic was reported along various routes, causing delays across the city.

At around 4:14 PM, a major traffic jam was observed on A.T Road, stretching from Paltan Bazaar to Vishal Supermarket.
Simultaneously, traffic chaos was reported at the elevated corridor in Machkhowa, with additional delays noted along the Lakhtokia area.
Despite multiple attempts, GPlus was unable to reach the Traffic ICs of Paltanbazar, Panbazar, and Bharalumukh for comment on the situation.
One commuter, speaking to GPlus, described the situation as extremely challenging. "It's difficult to get through this area on a regular day, but with the added congestion due to Chhath Puja today, it's even worse," they said.
