GUWAHATI: Three Bangladeshi nationals who entered Assam illegally through the Sribhumi have been caught and deported, the authorities confirmed on Saturday, April 5.

The individuals have been identified as Noorjan Begum, Md Ilyat Ali, and Md Rakib Shaikh. They were intercepted by local police and later repatriated to Bangladesh after completing the necessary procedures.
Taking to social media platform X, Assam chief minister said, “@sribhumipolice continues its crackdown on infiltration. Three Bangladeshi nationals apprehended. All of them have been promptly pushed back across the border.”
