Taylor Swift's 11th studio album made its debut at Friday midnight, April 19, delivering 16 new tracks, including the lead single "Fortnight" featuring Post Malone. Just two hours later, Swift expanded the album with a surprise release of 15 additional titles as part of an Anthology extended edition.

Since then, "Tortured Poets" has amassed over one billion streams across its 31 tracks on Spotify, making it the fastest album to achieve this milestone.

This accomplishment adds to a string of records set by Swift's latest album in recent days.

"Tortured Poets" became Spotify's most-streamed album in a single day, accumulating over 300 million streams within its first 24 hours.

The single "Fortnight" also set a new record for the most single-day streams for an individual song on the platform.

Additionally, "Tortured Poets" earned the distinction of having the most first-day streams for a pop album in Apple Music history.

With 800,000 vinyl copies sold within the LP's first four days on the market, it surpassed Swift's own record for the largest sales week for an album on vinyl in the modern era, surpassing the 693,000 sold of "1989 (Taylor’s Version)" in its first week.

Reflecting on her latest project, Swift shared on Instagram, "This period of the author’s life is now over, the chapter closed and boarded up... This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it."
