GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam, has arrested Subodh Das, Sub Divisional Officer of the Palashbari-Boko-Chaygaon Territorial Building Sub-Division in Kamrup, on Saturday, September 21, for accepting a bribe of ₹ 15,000.

The arrest followed a complaint alleging that Das demanded ₹ 22,000 for processing bills, later reducing the amount.

Following the complaint, the Directorate set a trap and caught Das red-handed. The bribe money was recovered and seized in the presence of witnesses.
Further legal actions are underway.
