The police on Wednesday arrested 5 students of Assam Engineering College (AEC) in connection with the wedding vandalism at Jalukbari.
The arrested students were reportedly a part of a large group of Hostel No. 1 students who had vandalized a wedding at Jalukbari where they also abused the guests present.
According to eyewitnesses, the hooligans came to the wedding with sticks, pieces of wood and other such weapons in their hands. Not only did they vandalize the wedding, it was alleged that they even abused the bride and molested women and teenage girls present at the venue.
