A special team of Home Ministry led by Rajiv Gauba, Secretary, Home Affairs visited Guwahati on Thursday evening.
The team held a meeting in presence of DGP Mukesh Sahay and ADGP Pallab Bhattacharya to check the NRC update of Assam. NRC State Coordinator Prateek Hajela was also present in the meeeting.
The team will next hold a meeting with the Unified Commando, and CRPF officials, to discuss the safety and security regulations within the state.
