Special Superfast Trains Launched Between Dibrugarh And Kanyakumari 

 

GUWAHATI: In a move to address the surge in passenger demand, authorities have announced the operation of two fortnightly superfast special trains connecting Dibrugarh and Kanyakumari. The special trains, numbered 06103/06104 (Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh - Kanyakumari) and 06105/06106 (Kanyakumari – Dibrugarh - Kanyakumari), will each undertake eight trips in both directions.

These special trains aim to cater to the needs of waitlisted passengers from Northeast and North Bengal areas who require travel towards Southern India. The trains will offer various classes of accommodation, including AC-2 tier, AC-3 tier, AC-3 tier Economy Class, Sleeper Class, and General Second-Class accommodations.

The first special train, No. 06103, will depart from Kanyakumari at 17:25 hours on February 16th, March 1st, 15th, and 29th, 2024, reaching Dibrugarh at 20:50 hours on Monday. Conversely, train No. 06104 will depart from Dibrugarh at 19:55 hours on February 21st, March 6th, 20th, and April 3rd, 2024, arriving at Kanyakumari at 21:55 hours on Saturday.

Similarly, special train No. 06105 will depart from Kanyakumari on February 23rd, March 8th, 22nd, and April 5th, 2024, reaching Dibrugarh at 20:50 hours on Monday. On the other hand, train No. 06106 will depart from Dibrugarh on February 28th, March 13th, 27th, and April 10th, 2024, arriving at Kanyakumari at 21:55 hours on Saturday.

These special trains will traverse through various stations including Mariani Jn, Dimapur, Lumding Jn, Goalpara Town, Kokrajhar, New Cooch Behar, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Barddhaman Jn, Kharagpur Jn, Bhubaneswar, Vizianagram Jn, Vijayawada Jn, Nellore, Coimbatore Jn, Ernakulam Town, and Thiruvananthapuram Central.
