The agreement paves the way for collaboration between the two companies to explore how Starlink’s satellite-based internet services can enhance and expand connectivity offerings in India. The telecom provider’s deep market expertise will complement SpaceX’s direct-to-consumer and business services, enabling broader coverage across urban and remote areas alike.

As part of the collaboration, both companies will examine the possibility of integrating Starlink equipment into retail stores, providing Starlink services to business customers, and extending connectivity to underserved communities, schools, and healthcare centres across rural India.

Additionally, the companies will explore ways for Starlink to support and strengthen the telecom firm's existing network, while also allowing SpaceX to leverage local ground infrastructure for enhanced service delivery.

Speaking on the agreement, a senior executive from the telecom company highlighted the transformative potential of the partnership, stating:

"Working with SpaceX to offer Starlink to customers in India is a significant milestone and further demonstrates our commitment to next-generation satellite connectivity,"

Gwynne Shotwell, President, and Chief Operating Officer of SpaceX, emphasised the impact of connectivity in driving innovation, stating:

"We are excited to work with the telecom company and unlock the transformative impact Starlink can bring to the people of India. We are constantly amazed by the incredible and inspiring things that people, businesses and organizations do when they are connected via Starlink,"
