GUWAHATI: Birubari Udaypur Kali Mandir is gearing up to commemorate a significant milestone – 50 years of Kali Puja celebrations.
The committee, responsible for organising the event, has planned an array of exciting activities to mark this auspicious occasion. The budget for this year's puja celebrations is around ₹8 lakhs.
Speaking to GPlus, a member of the Birubari Udaypur Kali Mandir Committee shared insights into their grand celebration, stating, "As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kali Puja in our mandir, we have arranged a spectacular sky lantern show in a nearby field. A total of 300 sky lanterns will illuminate the night sky, adding a touch of magic to our festivities."
The member further added, "We are also providing free crackers to our visitors, creating a vibrant and joyous atmosphere."
"This year we are expecting at least 150 visitors to the lantern show. The show will start around 5:30 PM," he further added.
