GUWAHATI: Six people were killed and five others injured in a landslide near Manikaran Gurudwara in Kullu district on Sunday, authorities confirmed. The landslide, caused by an uprooted tree during a storm, led to debris crashing onto people sitting on the roadside.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, and the injured were transported to Jari Hospital for treatment. Authorities have announced financial aid, granting ₹25,000 to the families of the deceased and ₹10,000 to the injured.
The landslide occurred when a tree from a mountain collapsed onto parked vehicles, leading to casualties. Rescue and relief operations are ongoing, with police and administrative teams actively engaged.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur have expressed their condolences. The Chief Minister has directed officials to ensure that the injured receive the best medical care and that affected families receive all necessary support.
