The Barpeta Police in Assam conducted a raid and seized Rs 1,83,55,740 cash from the house of one railway employee Debraj Das on 10th October.
The investigation was facilitated by top-level information from the CID.
Madan Kalita, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Barpeta who was part of the investigation told G Plus, "Our SP received the information and I was told to lead the team."
As per Barpeta police, the employee is also suspected to be linked with SI recruitment scam.
