GUWAHATI: Shubman Gill has claimed the top spot in the latest ICC ODI men's batting rankings with a rating of 796. The Indian opener, who reached a career-best rating of 847 against Australia in Indore last year, continues to showcase his dominance in the format.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam follows with a rating of 773. The former top-ranked batter reached his highest-ever rating of 898 against West Indies in Multan in 2022.
India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, holds third place with 761 points. His career-best rating is 882 against Sri Lanka at Headingley during the 2019 World Cup.
South Africa’s Heinrich Klaasen takes fourth place with a rating of 756, just one point shy of his career-best 757, recorded against Bangladesh in Mumbai last year.
New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell secures fifth place with a rating of 740. He reached his peak of 750 during New Zealand’s clash against India in Mumbai in 2023.
Virat Kohli rounds off the top six with 727 points. The former captain still holds the record for the highest career rating among active players, having peaked at 909 against England at Headingley in 2018.
