GUWAHATI: A massive fire broke out in the Hengrabari area of Guwahati on Monday evening, November 16.
The incident took place at the Lichubagan area where the fire gutted seven houses. All houses were made of bamboo.
"On 16.11.20 at 17.20 hrs fire took place at Hengrabari, Lichubagan where 7 nos of houses were gutted," Jayshree Khersa, Deputy Director Fire & Emergency Services informed G Plus.
The cause of the fire has been ascertained as leakage of gas cylinder followed by a blast.
A total of three water tenders were involved in extinguishing the fire. So far, there have been no reports of injured persons or casualty.
