GUWAHATI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall across the Northeast for a couple of days.

The warning issued by IMD on Tuesday, October 8 indicated that heavy rainfall is expected to impact regions including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya between October 8-11. Additionally, isolated downpours are likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on October 9.
IMD shared the forecast via X on October 9, saying, "IMD Weather Warning: Heavy rainfall likely to occur over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan & Goa, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe, Tamil Nadu & Lakshadweep today."
