GUWAHATI: In yet another incident, a water supply pipe succumbed to its faulty nature and leaked at Geetanagar in Guwahati on October 27.

Speaking to GPlus, one of the officials of Guwahati Jal Board confirmed that it was another one of the Jal Board Pipes and it was due to a faulty house service connection.

There have been umpteen pipe leakage incidents happening all across Guwahati with three incidents which recently happened in Bamunimaidam, Noonmati Sector 1 and Hatigarh Chariali during the Durga Puja.

Speaking to GPlus, Rupjyoti Borha, a local of Geetanagar said, "This is very common in our area, these officials haven't checked the quality of the pipes before installations and now we have to be the sufferers."

Ripunjoy Duwarah, another resident of Geetanagar said, "Because of these faulty pipes, water connection gets suspended and it hampers us a lot."

The timing of the incident occurred during afternoon hours, however, the Jal board members reached the spot and repaired the leakage, as per reports.
