Sacred Soil of Kamakhya Temple taken for Construction of Ram Mandir

GUWAHATI: With the 'Bhoomi Pujan' ceremony of the Ram Mandir construction at Ayodhya nearing, members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have taken  the sacred soil of Maa Kamakhya Devalaya on 27th July to be used in the foundation of the temple.

Kavindra Sarma, Doloi of Maa Kamakhya Devalaya Management Committee, speaking to G Plus confirmed the same. "The members of VHP came yesterday to collect  soil from the premises of the temple yesterday," he said.

Reportedly, sacred soil and holy water from many temples and water bodies from across India are being collected and sent to Ayodhya by VHP members to be incorporated in the foundation of the upcoming Ram Mandir.

PM Narendra Modi is to attend the beginning of the temple's construction on 5th August.
