CSK have one win and one loss from their first two matches, while RR are still looking for their first victory after two consecutive defeats.

Rajasthan currently sit at the bottom of the points table with a net run rate of -1.882, while CSK are eight with two points and an NRR of -1.013.

Chennai come into the match on the back of a heavy loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who outperformed them. Rajasthan, meanwhile, have struggled to settle without key players like Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal. Their previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) saw them fall short with a poor batting display.

With both sides in need of a win to get their campaigns back on track, the Guwahati crowd can expect a competitive match.
