Royal Global University Ranks No.1 Among Private Universities in Assam

A leading educational institute of Guwahati, the Royal Global University, has been listed as the No.1 private university of Assam in Education World India’s Higher Education Rankings for the year 2020-21.

The rank was bestowed on Royal Global University, Betkuchi, based on a study conducted by the Centre for Forecasting and Research, Delhi which was published in the Education World, India's most comprehensive education portal for the educators, parents and student communities, offering detailed information about Institutions.

In order to conduct the ranking survey, the organization sent over 150 field personnel of the highly-reputed Delhi-based market research and opinion polls company Centre for Forecasting & Research Pvt. Ltd to interview 4,168 sample respondents, comprising 2,214 faculty and 1,126 final year students of 162 universities, and 828 industry representatives in 25 cities across the nation.

The institutes were then evaluated based on parameters such as faculty competence, faculty welfare & development, research & innovation, curriculum & pedagogy, industry interface, placements, infrastructure, internationalism, leadership/governance & range and diversity of study programs offered.

In this era of Private Universities, where employers in Indian industries look for industry ready individuals. Only 47% of Indian graduates were employable in India in 2019 as per the ‘Aspiring Minds’ National Employability Report’ which is a national audit of employability of three-year Bachelor’s Degree graduates.  There is a dismal number of educated youth holding degrees, but lack employability in India. Private Universities like the Royal Global University have taken up the initiative of ensuring that their institutes work closely with industries and students to solve skill based challenges being faced by the society.

Education World started publishing its annual Higher Education Rankings in 2013, according special importance to private institutions of higher learning. The organization believes that it would not be apt to do a comparison between private and government institutions because private institutions with huge investment and reputations at stake, are more likely to provide globally benchmarked academic, research and education.
