GUWAHATI: An accident occurred on Sesa Bridge in Lahowal, Dibrugarh, on Sunday, December 15, when a four-vehicle plunged into the river. One person lost his life and four others sustained critical injuries in the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Ishan Gogoi. Among the injured are Akhiraj Gogoi (28), Tridip Raj Gogoi (30), Nitumoni Gogoi (26), and Biplab Gogoi (28). They were swiftly rescued and taken to Assam Medical College and Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from the Lahowal police station confirmed the incident, stating, “An accident occurred on Sesa Bridge when a four-vehicle crashed into a river, resulting in the death of one person and leaving four others critically injured.The victims were returning home after attending a wedding. They had dropped off the bride at Bakul Majgaon in Dibrugarh and were heading back when the vehicle tragically veered off the bridge and plunged into the river. One of the victims was the bride's brother.”
