GUWAHATI: A road accident on National Highway 17 in Assam’s Bongaigaon claimed the lives of a man and his young daughter on Friday, November 22. The incident occurred in the Nityabazar area of Boithamari as the man, Nasir Ullah Ahmed, was en route to drop his daughter, Shanaz Ahmed.

The collision involved a trailer, a bus, and a motorbike, resulting in the fatality of both Nasir and Shanaz.
An official from the Boithamari police station speaking to GPlus confirmed the incident, stating, “The accident occurred on NH-17 in Boithamari’s Nityabazar. The deceased have been identified as Nasir Ullah Ahmed and his daughter Shanaz Ahmed. We are investigating the matter. ”
The crowd, enraged by the deaths, set the bus involved in the incident on fire, further intensifying the situation.
