GUWAHATI: A man was killed in a road accident in Uparhali area on Tuesday, January 28. The victim, identified as Rantu Das, was riding a motorcycle when it was struck by a truck carrying cylinders.

The incident occurred at around 2:15 PM while both vehicles were travelling towards Chayygaon. Das sustained fatal injuries in the collision and died at the scene.
A police official from Bijoynagar police station confirmed the incident, stating, "A man lost his life in a truck accident in Uparhali. The motorcyclist was hit by a truck carrying cylinders."
Further investigation into the accident is underway.
