Riyan Parag Completes 1000 Runs In IPL

 

GUWAHATI: Assam's Riyan Parag playing for the Rajasthan Royals, has become the first uncapped Indian player to score over 400 runs in this edition of the tournament. With this feat, he has reached a remarkable 1,000 runs overall.

This has been deemed a significant milestone in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

The young prodigy’s exceptional performance came during a thrilling run-chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on May 2.

He showcased spectacular innings, scoring 77 runs off just 49 balls, which included eight fours and four sixes, at an impressive strike rate of 157.14.

Since his debut in 2019, Parag has been a consistent performer for the Rajasthan Royals.

With a total of 1,009 runs under his belt at an average of 22.93 and a striking rate of 136.17, including six half-centuries, Parag has established himself as a vital asset for his team.
