GUWAHATI: Water supply in several areas of Guwahati will be resumed by Wednesday, January 7 night or January 8 morning. The Guwahati Jal Board (GJB) has said that clear water pumping will commence from 2 PM on Wednesday.

This update follows yesterday's statement regarding the suspension of water supply in areas served by the Amiya Nagar, Ramsa Hill, and Leechubagan reservoirs. The disruption was caused by technical issues encountered during the testing process aimed at enhancing security measures to prevent leakages and pipeline disruptions.
Residents in the affected areas can expect water supply to normalise as per the tentative schedule.
