GUWAHATI: The Regional Conference themed "e-Governance" is scheduled to take place on January 9-10, 2024 in Guwahati. Organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) in collaboration with the Assam Government, encompassing eight North Eastern states and four states from the Eastern region, the conference will be inaugurated by Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria.
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy, and Space, Jitendra Singh, will address the inaugural session, marking the 26th Regional Conference convened by DARPG from 2014-2024.
The two-day conference will emphasise e-Governance and showcase award-winning nominations under the National e-Governance Awards Scheme, 2023. The Chief Secretary of Assam, Paban Kumar Borthakur, and Secretary of DARPG, V. Srinivas, will also address the inaugural session.
Seven different sessions are planned for the Guwahati Regional Conference, covering topics such as Unified Service Delivery Portal, e-Governance Awarded Initiatives 2022, Best Practices of the Assam Government, and district-level initiatives in e-governance.
The objective of the conference is to unite national and state-level public administration organisations to share innovative experiences, discuss transformations in public administration, and deliberate on aspects like good governance, e-governance, and digital governance.
