GUWAHATI: IAS officer Ravi Kota has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, as per an official notification on January 16.
A 1993-batch IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, Ravi Kota's appointment comes as the present chief secretary Paban Kumar Borthakur's tenure will end on March 31, 2024, the official order stated.
The personnel department of the Assam Government announced this in an official order on Tuesday which also issued a series of orders related to the transfer and posting of senior bureaucratic officials within the state.
