In the assets declarations made by the 46th Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi, it came to light that he owns no house, no vehicle and no jewellery in his name.
The assets declarations filed by him also stated that the only jewellery Justice Gogoi's wife has, are the ones that were gifted to her by her parents and relatives during the time of their wedding.

The assets declaration by Justice Gogoi that is available on the website of Supreme Court states that he has a balance of Rs 6.45 lakh in his savings accounts, a fixed deposit of Rs 16 lakh, and an LIC policy of Rs 5 lakh which was taken in 1999.
Justice Ranjan Gogoi was sworn in as the 46th Chief Justice of India by President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday.
