GUWAHATI: Tollywood actor Ram Charan has publicly expressed his support for the Advantage Assam 2.0 investment summit, which was held in Guwahati on February 25-26.
In a social media post on February 28, Charan acknowledged the ₹ 5,850 crore investment by Greenko, led by Anil Kumar Chalamalasetty and Mahesh Kolli, in renewable energy projects within Assam. "Best wishes to Anil Kumar Chalamalasetty, Mahesh Kolli, and the entire Greenko team for their tireless efforts toward creating a sustainable future for India! @AMGreen_Group @GreenkoIndia," he wrote.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma responded to Charan’s message on March 1, extending a warm invitation to the actor to visit the state. "Ram Charan Garu, we greatly appreciate your kind words. #AdvantageAssam2 witnessed active participation from diverse stakeholders, all with the shared goal of building a 'Viksit Assam' and 'Viksit Bharat.' We would be delighted to have you visit Assam and explore its abundant opportunities, heritage, and beauty," Chief Minister Sarma stated.
Charan promptly accepted the invitation, replying, "Thank you, @himantabiswa Garu! I would love to visit Assam soon and experience its rich culture and beauty firsthand. Wishing you and your team continued success in building a 'Viksit Assam' and 'Viksit Bharat'! #AdvantageAssam2."
The Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, aimed to drive the growth of Assam's energy, tourism, and infrastructure sectors, secured investments of ₹ 4.91 lakh crore. The event has attracted attention from both national and international investors.
