GUWAHATI: Addressing a rally in Imphal, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has downgraded the PMO to a "Publicity Minister's Office" by indulging in "mediocrity" in a highly sophisticated country.
Gandhi, while interacting with students of Manipur State Film Development Society in the state capital said that the congress party doesn't believe in "cultural imperialism" and that the views and voice of each state should be heard. Attacking the BJP-RSS, Gandhi said that the duo wants to impose one idea and crush other ideas.
He further said that the number one priority of the Congress in northeast will be tackling the job crisis, increasing connectivity in the region and setting up a food processing unit in Manipur.
