GUWAHATI: In an exclusive conversation with GPlus, brothers Raghu Ram and Rajiv Lakshman opened up about their experience on Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent. Raghu Ram, who featured in one of the early episodes, revealed that the experience was a cathartic one for him.
He said, “The Latent experience was quite cathartic for me. This is a big word, so let me explain why. After many years, I felt like I opened up. The environment was so unrestrained, there were no restrictions, and you could have fun without any fear because no one takes you seriously. Like they say, ‘jaisa des, vaisa bhes’ (When in Rome, do as the Romans do).”
Raghu also shared a humorous yet touching moment from a school visit when he went to get his son admitted. “The teacher recognized me and told me, ‘I loved you in Latent,’ and I was like, ‘Why did you watch it?' It was a good experience, and I guess many people would have gotten offended. Even at the AIB Roast, everyone was insulting each other, but no one took it seriously. If you find a place where no one takes each other seriously, you have freedom there,” he explained.
Raghu and Rajiv were in Guwahati as part of the Content Creators Meet organized during IIT Guwahati's Alcheringa festival.
