GUWAHATI: The Ministry of Railways has issued a directive, reinforcing the provision of bed roll kits to passengers holding Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC) tickets in Air-Conditioned (AC) Classes, excluding AC Chair Cars.
The directive, as conveyed through a letter from the Railway Board, emphasises the inclusion of bed roll charges in the fare for RAC passengers, necessitating the provision of complete bedroll kits, comprising linen and blankets, to RAC passengers on par with other confirmed passengers in the same coach.
The Railway Board's letter under reference stresses the importance of adhering to these guidelines to ensure uniform amenities for all passengers, regardless of their reservation status. The decision to provide bed roll kits to RAC passengers in AC Classes aims to enhance the overall travel experience and comfort for individuals traveling with RAC tickets.
Passengers holding RAC tickets in AC Classes (excluding AC Chair Car) can now expect to receive a complete bedroll kit, encompassing linen and blankets, as an integral part of their travel experience.
