The order, issued on December 22, states that assemblies of more than five persons, protests, rallies, and demonstrations within the specified area are prohibited without prior approval from the competent authority.
Unauthorized movement of vehicles and individuals around Raj Bhawan is also restricted.

Furthermore, the use of loudspeakers, fireworks, crackers, or any noise-producing instruments is prohibited within the restricted area without prior approval.

Construction and any other disruptive activities that could impede security or cause disturbances in the vicinity of Raj Bhawan are also prohibited without prior approval.

The order comes into effect immediately and will remain in force for the next two months or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Any person or activity found to be in violation of these orders will be liable to be proceeded against under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

Individuals aggrieved by this order can appear before the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) to file written objections for cancellation or modification of the ex-parte order.

The order comes days after a recent Congress protest near Raj Bhawan, during which a party worker lost his life after police deployed tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.
