GUWAHATI: Bandana Kalita, the prime accused in the double murder case in Guwahati, was sentenced to six days in police custody on Wednesday by the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court (CJM).
Guwahati Police had previously produced the two suspects of the case, Arup Deka and Dhonti Deka, before the court on Monday and sentenced them to seven days in police remand.
They are currently being held at the Noonmati Police Station.
It should be noted that Bandana is the main accused, who conspired and murdered her husband and mother-in-law with the assistance of Arup and Dhonti.
The trio murdered the mother-son duo and dismembered their bodies before disposing them of in Dawki and Sohra in Meghalaya.
Although the two murders occurred in July and August of last year, they only came to light on Sunday.
