GUWAHATI: Brooms are sold in a surged price on Dhanteras across Guwahati.
"I have spent ₹50,000 to stock brooms and by evening I will sell all the stock," said a broom vendor on BK Kakati Road.
A broom wholesaler in Fancy Bazar said that all stocks of brooms are sold out before Dhanteras every year.
In retail, brooms today are selling from a range of ₹70 to ₹150 per piece.
The price differs depending on the quality of the broom.
"It's a good omen to buy broom on Dhanteras," said a customer.
