GUWAHATI: The body of a police official was discovered under Lokhra flyover in the early hours of Monday, February 17, under mysterious circumstances. The incident was reported at approximately 4:30 AM.

The deceased has been identified as Raju Mahto, who was posted as a constable at the Borjhar outpost.
Speaking to G Plus, an official from Gorchuk Police Station stated, “Preliminary investigation suggests there was no foul play. It might be due to a blood pressure condition. The exact cause of death will be confirmed once the post-mortem report is available. Mahto was posted in Borjhar, and he was not on duty when the incident took place.”
Authorities have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the death. Further details are awaited.
