The incident had occurred on December 4, resulting in the death of a 39-year-old woman, Revathi, and leaving her son critically injured.
According to reports, the Chikkadpally police registered a case against the theatre management, the actor, and his security team, citing lack of prior intimation about the actor's appearance at the event.
Allu Arjun had earlier expressed his condolences and announced financial support for the family. “I am deeply shocked by the incident at Sandhya Theatre,” he stated via a video message on X. “I will provide ₹25 lakhs to Revathi's family and support them in every possible way.” The actor had also promised to personally meet the family soon.
Police investigations continue for the time being, as questions are being raised about the event’s mismanagement and crowd control failures.
