The snag occurred after PM Modi completed his scheduled events in the poll-bound state and arrived at the airport for his departure to Delhi, as per reports. As a precautionary measure, the aircraft was grounded while technical teams worked to resolve the problem.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister addressed two rallies in Jharkhand as part of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas celebrations, honouring tribal leader Birsa Munda. The events were held just days before the second phase of polling for the Jharkhand Assembly elections on November 20.
In a separate incident, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter was also reportedly delayed for nearly two hours in Mahagama due to a lack of clearance from Air Traffic Control (ATC). Gandhi, who was in Jharkhand for election-related engagements, was set to address a public rally when the delay occurred.
