PM Modi To Attend Advantage Assam 2.0 On February 24

 

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma returned to Guwahati on Wednesday after completing a successful three-day visit to New Delhi, where he finalised the schedule for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to Assam.

During a media interaction, CM Sarma confirmed that Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Guwahati on February 24 at 5 PM and will attend a Jhumur performance. On the following day, the Prime Minister is scheduled to participate in the Advantage Assam Conference from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Earlier on Wednesday, CM Sarma also inaugurated the upgradation project at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, aimed at improving infrastructure in preparation for Advantage Assam-2. The project includes expanding the front platform area from 270 sq. m to 1000 sq. m, increasing access lanes from 8 to 14, and creating a new 300 sq. m garden. 

Additionally, he announced that a new airport will be constructed in Guwahati by the end of this year, which will have the capacity to handle 13 million passengers annually. CM Sarma further emphasised the state's progress, revealing that since 2021, about one bridge and 15 km of roads have been constructed every day.
