PM Modi To Arrive In Guwahati Today For Two-Day Visit To Witness Jhumoir & Launch Advantage Assam 2.0

GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Guwahati today, February 24 for a two-day visit to Assam. His itinerary includes attending a grand Jhumoir dance performance and inaugurating the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit on Tuesday, February 25.

According to CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Prime Minister will arrive at 5:30 PM in Sarusajai stadium to witness the epic Jhumoir dance performance featuring 8,000 artistes. The next day, he will inaugurate the Advantage Assam 2.0 – Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025, aimed at fostering business collaborations and attracting new investments to the state at around 10 AM and at 1:30 PM, Modi will leave for Bihar.

Sarma recently visited Delhi to finalise the Prime Minister's visit and extend invitations to Union ministers for the summit. This Jhumur performance follows Assam’s Guinness World Record feat last year, when 11,298 dancers performed Bihu in a single venue.
