PM Modi Takes Jibe at Rahul Gandhi for 'Beating With Stick' Remark

GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was in Assam's Kokrajhar to celebrate the signing of Bodo Peace Accord on February 8, took a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

While addressing a huge gathering at Kokrajhar, Modi said, "At times some leaders talk about beating me with sticks, but I am shielded by your love and affection, need not fear ‘danda’.”

It is to be mentioned that earlier on February 6, Rahul Gandhi addressing a rally at Delhi's Hauz Khas area said that the youth of India will "beat him (Modi) up with a stick" given the rising unemployment in the country.

Gandhi had said that Modi will "not be able to step out of his house in six months from now. The youth of India will beat him with sticks to make him understand that without employment, the country can never progress."
