Guwahati: Two youths, riding towards the Saraighat Bridge on their two-wheeler, blacked-out on seeing the regular police check here today.
On seeing police officials, the duo threw their scooter and jumped off the bridge, out of fear of being scrutinised.
The youths have been identified as Raju Ujir and Bikash, riding a scooty bearing the registration number AS 01 DK6460.
Raju Ujir was rescued by the fire brigade team and is currently undergoing treatment as he was found badly injured while Bikash is absconding.
The Police are suspecting the scooter to be a stolen vehicle.
