Pasighat in Arunachal connects to Kolkata by air via Guwahati

In a step towards enhancing air-connectivity to the Northeast, especially Arunachal Pradesh, the first commercial fixed winged flight from Pasighat to Kolkata via Guwhati has been started. This new flight was inaugurated today (Monday) by Pema Khandu, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh by lighting a lamp at Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. He also gave away the boarding passes to the travellers of this maiden flight.

The flight is 1 hrs 10 minutes long and will be active three days a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays).

Earlier, on 23rd April, 2018, a successful test flight on an ATR-42 (twin-turboprop, short-haul regional airliner) took place from Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport to Pasighat. The operator for the route is Alliance Air.
