Parul University Hosts National Healthcare Skills Conclave & EM Gujarat 2025

 

Vadodara-based Parul University successfully organised the National Healthcare Skills Conclave & Emergency Medicine Gujarat 2025 under the theme, “One Nation, One Response: Pre-hospital care and life-saving skills.” This landmark event, one of the largest in India, drew over 2,000 participants and featured 25+ national experts, specialised workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions aimed at enhancing healthcare training and emergency response skills, according to a statement.  

The event was inaugurated by Rushikesh Patel, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Higher and Technical Education, Medical Education, Law and Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Gujarat. Rushikesh Patel underscored the urgent need to strengthen pre-hospital care systems and life-saving skills, particularly at the grassroots level, while emphasising the role of collaboration between healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and government agencies in advancing India’s healthcare infrastructure.  
 

- Launch of Pragya Ambulance Simulation Unit: Patel inaugurated the state-of-the-art Pragya Ambulance Simulation Unit, a pioneering facility aimed at bridging the gap between emergencies and definitive care. The unit will host multiple training programs to prepare healthcare professionals to handle critical situations effectively.  

- Parul Vision & Laser Centre Inauguration: Patel also inaugurated the university’s Parul Vision & Laser Centre, a premier facility offering advanced vision correction and eye care services.  
- Visit to Parul Sevashram Hospital: During the event, the minister toured Parul Sevashram Hospital, an 800-bed medical facility providing top-notch care to the community.  

In his address, Patel lauded Parul University for its commitment to healthcare innovation. He remarked, “As ‘Naya Bharat’ strides ahead, innovation and healthcare are at the forefront of progress. Events like the National Healthcare Skills Conclave play a vital role in training skilled professionals who can elevate India’s medical landscape to global standards.”  
Geetika Patel, Medical Director and Vice President of Parul University, emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between knowledge and practical application. She stated, “Through initiatives like the National Healthcare Skills Conclave and facilities like Pragya—our advanced skill and simulation centre—we are training over 10,000 students annually to become skilled emergency responders and future healthcare leaders.”  

The conclave provided a unique networking platform, bringing together students, healthcare professionals, and industry leaders to exchange ideas and collaborate on future innovations. It also showcased cutting-edge technologies and best practices, strengthening the ties between academia, industry, and government to enhance India’s healthcare delivery systems.
