GUWAHATI: Cachar Police seized 102.84 liters of illegally stocked Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) during a raid in Irongmara Bazar on Wednesday, March 4.

Acting on specific intelligence, officers from Dwarbond Police Station carried out the operation, uncovering the liquor stored in violation of local alcohol distribution regulations.
The seized liquor has been taken into custody, and an investigation is currently underway.
The raid comes just a day after the Assam and Meghalaya Excise Departments uncovered a large-scale illicit liquor operation. On March 2, authorities discovered a truck carrying counterfeit IMFL labels, leading them to a fully operational illegal distillery producing fake liquor.
Over 3,000 cases of counterfeit alcohol were seized, and investigations are ongoing into potential connections to Prag Raj Singla and his son, Tushar Singla.
