GUWAHATI: A person was dead on the spot and another in critical condition after a water tanker rammed into his scooter here at Guwahati in Paltan Bazar on March 15.
Speaking to G Plus the Traffic in-charge of Paltan Bazar Police Station said, "Two youths were travelling on their scooty when a water tanker hit them from behind."
The incident occured near Hotel Rajmahal in Paltan Bazar.
Meanwhile the police shifted the body to GMCH for post-mortem and the pillow rider in the emergency ward wherein he is stated to be in critical condition.
The identity of the deceased in yet to be ascertained, however, the truck driver managed to flee from the spot.
