One Arrested For Stealing Bicycle Worth ₹46,000 In Guwahati, Five Stolen Bicycles Recovered

 

GUWAHATI: A police team from Fatasil Ambari Police Station has arrested a suspect in connection with the theft of a high-end sports bicycle worth ₹46,000 from Basudev Path, Guwahati.

Acting on a complaint and guided by technical leads and detailed analysis, the police apprehended 22-year-old Kaushik Roy, a resident of Cycle Factory in Guwahati.

During interrogation, Roy confessed to the theft and further revealed his involvement in selling multiple stolen bicycles in the Athgaon and Bharalumukh areas of the city. Acting on this information, police conducted a follow-up raid which resulted in the recovery of five stolen sports bicycles.

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused, and investigations are ongoing to trace potential buyers and any further links to the theft ring.
